National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi)
NLU Delhi is unique among the National Law Universities because it is the only NLU that does not accept CLAT scores. Instead, it conducts its own highly competitive national-level entrance exam.
1. 5-Year Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)
- Entrance Examination: Admission is based strictly on the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET UG), which is conducted by NLU Delhi itself.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2 system) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Candidates appearing in their 12th-standard board exams are also eligible to apply.
- Minimum Marks Required (Class 12):
- Unreserved (General) / OBC / EWS: Minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
- SC / ST / PwD: Minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to apply for the AILET exam.
- Total Seats: 120 seats in total.
- 110 seats are filled purely on merit through the AILET exam (divided across General, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories).
- 10 seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals / OCI / PIO (exempted from AILET, based on academic merit).
- Admission Process:
- Register and appear for the AILET UG examination (typically held in December of the preceding year).
- NLU Delhi releases the AILET merit list displaying All India Ranks (AIR) and marks.
- Candidates who clear the required cut-off must register for the online AILET Counselling process.
- Submit the required documents (mark sheets, character certificate, category certificates, etc.).
- Pay the admission confirmation fee once a seat is allocated based on merit.
